LUCKY

Description:

STAR LAKES LUCKY STAR is a HONEST 33 ½”  AMHA(A71166)/AMHR(63138A), DNA tested true genetic  medium refined blue roan mare foaled 3/29/95.  This mare is intelligent, beautiful and talented.  She keeps herself fit when not in foal. Cynthia Sorg did an awesome drive of training her to drive and she is a nice country pleasure driving mare.  She does not have a show record but certainly could be a good show driving contender if someone took the time.  Star is an alpha mare at our place but probably falls middle of the pack in a big herd.  She is a good broodmare and was not bred to foal until she was 7 so got to mature nicely before going into motherhood.  She was well handled before being a broodmare with a family so is even acclimated to road driving.  This is not a spooky mare and she obeys voice commands for driving.  She is a mare that moves out nicely so I would rate her for an experienced youth on up.  Her first foal was for Buckeye Walnut Creek Farm, a blue roan overo filly and for myself she has foaled a blue roan colt ,a grulla colt,  a dun colt and a blue roan tobiano pinto filly.  Her foals have good leg under them and good dispositions.   This mare has been well taken care of throughout her life and is healthy and happy and can be trusted to be around kids as she has never offered to kick or bite plus she is very accepting to lead line rides. This mare is easy to bathe, fly spray, clip, vacuum, load, vet and farrier and is a very good protective (to other horses not people) mare to her babies and she milks like a cow.  Also she disciplines her babies so they behave and it is much easier to train them then lots of other foals with permissive mothers.  Her color is truly amazing and changes every season, hard to tell it’s the same horse!  She may be for sale to a wonderful home as I have her daughter now but I will only sell to a special home where she is truly cherished and kept up on vet, farrier, worming, teeth and has a nice stall and shade in the summer, so if you are interested inquire about her.

SAPONI

Description:

Bear Branch Painted Saponi is an AMHA/AMHR/DNA’d 32  ½”  sorrel pinto who is homozygous tobiano and red factor mare foaled May 12, 2000 and  is sired by the well known multi national champion AMHA and PTha 29 ½ “ tovero back and white pinto stallion STONEHENGE PAINTED FEATHER (has produced many champion foals).   Saponi’s dam is Dell Teras Merri Huttenest who also produced many winning show foals and is a 33 “ sorrel tobiano pinto mare.  To date Saponi has produced a bay tobiano pinto filly, a palomino tobiano pinto colt, a mainly white and buckskin tobiano colt, a sorrel tobiano pinto filly and a mainly white and sorrel tobiano pinto medicine hat colt, the last 2 foals being homozygous for red factor and tobiano.  Saponi is an excellent mother to her foals, gets along well with other horses but prefers to be more on her own and is a nice mare for people to handle and likes attention.  In 2007 I purchased a nice, personable, refined, black/white tobiano pinto colt who is tiny like Stonehenge Painted Feather  and has black based background.  We are hoping in 2009 to produce another foal who is as nice as Stonehenge Painted Feather, also having his fantastic disposition and movement.

SCARLET
Description:

Boyers windy Acres Scarlet Feather is a well bred sorrel tobiano pinto AMHR DNA’d filly (foaled May 06) who measured 34  ¼” as a 2 yr old.  Both parents are AMHA/AMHR but Scarlet has some longs legs and kept growing.   Her dam is my royally bred sorrel/white tobiano mare, a hard to find homozygous for both  red factor and  tobiano daughter of STONEHENGE PAINTED FEATHER (11 time national champion).  Scarlet is homozygous in both is these ways too.  The sire of this mare  is a grey/white pintaloosa son of top ten national driving and halter stallion WINNERS CIRCLE WAMPUM .  Scarlet inherited her beautiful movement from her sire and grandsire and is broke to drive in 2008, which she seems to enjoy.  I feel she will excel in driving and halter and will make a nice broodmare as well.  This is a mare who enjoys attention and being handled and has a very curious disposition, enjoying playing with the foals as well.
