LUCKY

Description:

STAR LAKES LUCKY STAR is a HONEST 33 ½” AMHA(A71166)/AMHR(63138A), DNA tested true genetic medium refined blue roan mare foaled 3/29/95 . This mare is intelligent, beautiful and talented. She keeps herself fit when not in foal. Cynthia Sorg did an awesome drive of training her to drive and she is a nice country pleasure driving mare. She does not have a show record but certainly could be a good driving contender if someone took the time. Star is an alpha mare at our place but probably falls middle of the pack in a big herd. She is a good broodmare and was not bred to foal until she was 7 so got to mature nicely before going into motherhood. She was well socialized before being a broodmare with a family so is even acclimated to road driving. This is not a spooky mare and she obeys voice commands for driving. She is a mare that moves out nicely so I would rate her for an experienced youth on up. Her first foal was for Buckeye Walnut Creek Farm, a blue roan overo filly and for myself she has foaled a blue roan colt ,a grulla colt and a dun colt. Her foals have good leg under them and good dispositions. Because of changing stallions  this mare is open for the first time since I had her for 07 so is now being bred to my friend Kathy Beal (Beals Barnyard) in Ohio's small black and white stallion named Westwind Nights Blaq Moon.  Lucky has been well taken care of throughout her life and is healthy and happy and can be trusted to be around kids as she has never offered to kick or bite plus she is very accepting to lead line rides. This mare is easy to bathe, fly spray, clip, vacuum, load, vet and farrier and is a very good protective (to other horses not people) mare to her babies and she milks like a cow. Also she disciplines her babies so they behave and it is much easier to train them then lots of other foals with permissive mothers. Her color is truly amazing and changes every season, hard to tell it’s the same horse! The only reason I am thinking or selling her after she foals in 2008 is a change in my breeding program, she is an awesome horse and deserves an great home with a nice stall at night, excellent food and awesome vet care, dental care and farrier care. I do all of these things and she is up to date on all, complete with a Coggins for this year. Feel free to email or call. I will call you back and would actually much rather talk to someone on the phone. I have plenty of pictures. I am asking $2500 open for her or will trade for a 31 or 32 inch black/white, black, true genetic blue roan or blue roan pinto (NOT GREY) or bay pinto mare, this mare’s parents need to be black based as well, not taller than 32 in background, AMHA/AMHR mare age 5 to 11 who has easily had at least two foals, awesome mother, sane, drives or potential to be a driving, anyone can handle gets along well with other horses, loves foals, baby sitter type, leggy, medium refined, short backed, pretty head, stays fit and loves people.

SAPONI

Description:

Bear Branch Painted Saponi is an AMHA/AMHR/DNA'd 32 1/2 inch homozygous tobiano pinto mare foaled May 12, 2000 who is sired by the well known multi national champion AMHA and PINTO 29 1/2 inch tovero black and white pinto stallion STONEHENGE PAINTED FEATHER and  who produced many champion foals.  Saponi's dam is Dell Teras Merri Huttenest who also produced many winning show foals and is a 33 inch sorrell and white tobiano pinto mare.  To date Saponi has produced a bay pinto filly, a palomino pinto colt, a mainly white  and buckskin tobiano colt, a chestnut and white filly and a mainly white and chestnut colt for 07 with a medicine hat and blue eyes.  The last two foals have been homozygous.  Saponi is an excellent mother to her foals, gets along well with other horses but prefers to be more on her own and is a nice mare for people to handle and likes attention.  This year I have purchased a nice, personable, refined, black/white tobiano pinto colt who is tiny like Stonehenge Painted Feather is and he also has all black based background.  It is my hope to produce another foal who is as nice as Stonehenge Painted Feather also having his fantastic disposition and movement.

SCARLET
Description:

Boyers Windy Acres Scarlet Feather is a well bred red/white pinto AMHA/AMHR filly (foaled May 06) dam is my best royally bred mare, a hard to find homozygous tovero daughter of STONEHENGE PAINTED FEATHER, these daughters usually sell in the $6000 to $15,000 range and there are very few that are homozygous. The sire of this filly is a grey/white pintaloosa son of top ten national driving and halter stallion WINNERS CIRCLE WAMPUM who really are known for their quality show horses, this filly’s sire is a beautiful horse with beautiful movement that my friend broke to drive and will be shown in halter as well. Normally she would go on the market with that breeding for $4000 to $6000 (she may be homozygous too) but our market is a bit soft now so I would sell her for $3500 to a great home, everyone has commented on her so far! She has long legs and measures 32 3/4 inches as a yearling.  Scarlet is very nice and patient with her baby brother and does not cause problems with other horses, is actually pretty submissive.  She enjoys one on one attention and should excel in driving, halter or being a broodmare.
